Cookie statement
One Nil sets one cookie. This page says what it does, what else is stored on your device, and why you are not being asked to consent to anything.
The cookie
- session_id
- Keeps you signed in between page loads. It holds a signed reference to your sign-in, not your name or email address, and it cannot be read or altered by scripts on the page. It lasts until you sign out, delete your account, or 90 days after signing in.
That cookie is strictly necessary: without it there is no way to stay signed in, and no alternative that does the same job. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent, which is why One Nil shows no cookie banner.
What else is stored on your device
One Nil can be installed like an app. To open without a connection it keeps a copy of its own offline page, its icon and its stylesheets on your device. It deliberately never stores your picks, your groups or any other private page there.
What we do not use
No analytics, no advertising, no social plugins, no tracking pixels and no third-party cookies. Nothing on this site follows you to another one.
One request does go to Google, because this site loads two typefaces from Google Fonts. Google sees your IP address when your browser asks for them. The privacy notice lists this alongside everything else.
Controlling it
Signing out removes your cookie and the sign-in record behind it. You can also clear cookies in your browser at any time. You will simply be signed out. Blocking the cookie blocks signing in, because it is the only way One Nil knows who you are.
